Leica Partnership

As part of the professional week of the Rencontres d'Arles 2015, Leica Camera France had asked me to prepare a project based on portraits of prominent figures from the world of photography.

For this occasion, I suggested a mobile and modular studio installation: the Box, which I had designed and built. The photos taken were posted by Libération and L'OEil de la Photographie under the name "Inside", Maria Letizia Piantoni’s Box.

For this new edition I put forward a device at the boundary between an immersive installation and a photographic instrument. This new project offers a simple and modular installation, and to carry it out I joined forces with Christian Dubet, a top lighting designer who has worked on countless light creations for operas and artistic events. With Christian, we envisioned the consideration for light as a pivotal element of the installation, a subject that is both alive and moving, never static but in constant transformation.
